About

In her artistic practice, she moves between current economic situations and political positions of the public and the home.
Problems and contradictions slowly seep in from outside and solidify on the wall – as visible traces of social tensions, as manifestations of collective or personal unrest.
Materials with mass and weight that contrast with the paper-like lightness of the wallpaper. The room wall, the house wall
between outside and inside – an intermediate space that becomes a projection surface for memories and resistance.
Stitch by stitch, an attempt is made to hold together what is no longer there. Not even home can serve as a safe space anymore. Textiles
create new structures and spatial situations, questioning public spaces. Her work floats between security and decay, between ornamental
beauty and fragile reality.

Luzie Ana Catalina Katzorke was born in Berlin. Raised in Germany and Colombia. She lives and works in Hamburg.
